Nothing much to say about this because it’s not like you feel the results. It’s tasteless though, which is important for me.

There is usually not a lot to say, however; if you have tried a lot of brands you can develope a feel for quality over time. I bought this powder because of the large size and I can report that it has one of the best shelf lifes I’ve experienced. The powder is just as fresh and snowy as the day I bought it almost a year later.
I only take about 1000mg of it a day and should do more as it has helped me stablize my weight control; my muscle mass has been well maintained and I don’t get harmonic gains and losses of fat to water in my tissues like I did before. Of course diet and exercise can make a difference here, but I’ve learned after 20 years of struggling with sleep apnea and the resultant loss of weight control, that you can only tweak one thing at a time in the chaos of endocrinology.
I now have fewer harmonic responses in body density and now when my water sluffs off the fat dosen’t tend to come back to replace it. I can tell this by my floatation density ratio in H2O, as fat floats in water with greater force and when water gain happens the density goes up and I sink into the water with more weight impingeing on my feet.
My actual weight sometimes changes little during these ups and downs, but the floatation force can change dramatically – sometimes I float like an egg in salt water and other times I sink like a rock – all at the same weight.
With Optimum this has slowly abated over the last nine months and has stablized, and now I might have a good chance to lower my blood sugar without crashing, and actually loose some more weight in the process.
Some diet gurus condemn muscle weight gain while in obese conditions, but I think that is silly – how is your metabolism going to speed up and burn off excess energy through fat consumption if you can’t build muscle?? I’m on the Dr. Perricone diet – he is one of the few diet doctors allowed to advertise on PBS, so if that tells you anything about his reputation, I recommend you check into some of his books on nutrition science. It will be a revelation, I guarantee you! I do not work for N. V. Perricone or any other company, I just want what works for people like me. (Edited) I’m not sure what happened but I think they changed the view on the actual product I used. The package looked like this:
http://www. amazon. com/Glutamine-Powder-Unflavored-1000-gr/dp/B000TD7HVS/ref=wl_it_dp?ie=UTF8&coliid=ID0WX4D6QNPD&colid=18GWVMD8HD7AF
I’ve used both of these in different sizes, but I buy the biggest green colored package now. When I used the red, the quality was just as good but the powder was a little different on granulation. It was totally tasteless. In water you really don’t notice but the finer powder has a very pleasant smell and actually tastes very good. I only take a small amount, though, so of course, I really barely notice a very slightly sweet taste.

This is the first time I’ve used Glutamine so i don’t have a point of comparison. The product is a big help in recuperation after my workouts and has given me good results.
